The Oakridge School is pleased to welcome Nathan Hale, an award winning, best-selling book illustrator and author, on Wednesday, October 5th in the Oakridge Library. Nathan has a background in scientific and natural history illustration and has worked in natural history museum display, painting scientific murals for museums around the U.S. He studied illustration at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. He is the creator of the Hazardous Tales series which present a graphic novel approach to true stories from the United States told from the point of view of Nathan Hale – the real life spy. His books are extremely popular at Oakridge and include Alamo All Stars, One Dead Spy, Big Bad Ironclad, and The Underground Abductor: An Abolitionist Taleabout Harriet Tubman.
