The Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) recently named Oakridge senior Walker Emmert and junior Cade Kellam to the Texas All-State choir.
The competitive process to be named to the All-State choir begins in auditions held in 33 TMEA Regions throughout the state. Selected students move to Area competitions, and then qualifying musicians are named to an All-State group. The All-State students will participate in three days of rehearsals directed by nationally-recognized conductors during the annual state TMEA Clinic/Convention, held in San Antonio in February.
