Three Oakridge students received ribbons at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Art Contest.

First grader Ginny Nieves placed 5th and Peyton Graham placed 7th in the age 5-6 category. Third grader Ryker Smiley placed 7th in the age 7-8 category. Since Oakridge only competes in these two categories in Lower School, Oakridge took three of the 14 possible "places" available for winning artworks - a great achievement! Ginny, Peyton, and Ryker all received official Stock Show rosette ribbons.

The Star-Telegram Stock Show Art Contest is open to students ages 5-19, and a panel of local art professionals judge the submissions. The 1st through 7th placings are displayed during the Stock Show & Rodeo. All entries had to be on the theme of Western Art that expresses the spirit of the Stock Show & Rodeo.

Congratulations to our budding scholar-artists!
