Nearly 70 students between grades 3 through 12 presented original science projects covering a wide range of ideas at The Oakridge School’s second annual STEM Showcase Jan. 25 in the SAC. Categories included chemistry, physics, life science, and more. Studies ranged from energy absorption and bacterial growth on household surfaces to gender roles in decision making and investigating the true colors of markers.
This was the second year for the STEM Showcase, which had a theme of: “Bright Minds, Bright Ideas.” Although they were not allowed to enter, students from Preschool through second grade did tour the showcase with their teachers.
