On September 23rd, Oakridge had the privilege of hosting our third annual middle school cross country meet as part of the MSSPC meet circuit with our sister schools in Fort Worth.
This year’s race was a bit different, however. Instead of our usual two mile course, we decided to do a 5K relay, composed of four three-quarter mile loops. Other schools that attended were Trinity Valley, Fort Worth Country Day, Southwest Christian, and All Saints. Each school could have as many relay teams as they wished. Each relay team could have up to four runners. There was a boys’ race and a girls’ race that afternoon. The Oakridge girls’ middle school cross-country team took First Place in the girls’ race, and earned gold medals for each relay member. Our boys took Second Place in the boys’ race, and silver medals for each relay member. We are very proud of our middle school runners. Way to go Owls!
