Senior Trinity Pettigrew competes for Oakridge in varsity Field Hockey, Basketball, Golf, and Cheerleading. You might guess from this that she is a sports fanatic, and you would be correct. Between practices and studying for her tough academic load, Trinity loves to spend any available time with her friends and her family. Trinity’s favorite sport is Field Hockey, and her favorite coach is Coach Townsley. Trinity says, “Coach Townsley has always been there for me on and off of the field.”
Trinity entered Oakridge in 2001, and she loves to compete. She believes that doing her best in the classroom or in a sport gives her confidence both on and off the field. Trinity stated that competing for the Oakridge Owls has “taught her how to best budget time between grades and sports.” She believes, “This is a quality I will take with me as I go to college and hopefully balance ROTC with a rigorous nursing program.” Trinity also believes she has learned how to be a part of an effective team. She believes in having a passion for something, stating, “no matter what kind of day I’m having, I know when I walk on the field my day is going to get better. I get the chance to do what I love.”
After graduation, Trinity hopes to train to become a nurse in the Army. Oakridge is proud of Trinity Pettigrew!
