School is almost out, which means summer camps will soon open. The Oakridge School is hosting several camps and academic, athletic and arts programs for all ages.
Sports Camps are held from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and are designed for Oakridge and non-Oakridge children entering grades 1-9. The sport camps we generally offer are baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball (gr. 1-4 and gr. 5-9) and wrestling (boys).

Summer Camp is held from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open to Oakridge students and non-Oakridge children age 3 to grade 4. Each week has a theme and associated activities. They include:

· Week 2: June 18-22 “Euro-Asia Adventure”
· Week 3: June 25-29 “South American/Caribbean Cruise”
· Week 4: July 2-6 “Back to America”
· Week 5: July 9-13 “Polar Opposites”
· Week 6: July 16-20 “Safari Africa”

Summer Days courses are specifically designed for children entering Kindergarten through grade 4 and take place from 8:15 – 10:15 a.m. and/or 10:20 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. Monday through Friday. Oakridge students and non-Oakridge children are welcome to participate. The schedule includes American Girl Party, Art of Superheroes, Pets and Cartoons, Cheer Camp, Chemistry Curiosities, Financial Peace Jr., Grossology, Lower School Readiness Workshops, Manners Madness, Nature School, Spy Kids, and much more.

Summer in the Oaks provides academic and enrichment courses for grades 5 through adults from 8:15 - 10:15 a.m. and 10:20 - 12:20 p.m. Monday through Friday. Topics include Photography 101, Guided Middle School Reading Journey (gr. 5-6), Fundamental Math (gr. 5-6), Summer Technical Theatre, Writing (gr. 7-8), Math (gr. 7-8), Cooking Around the World, Fishing 101, Makerspace Instant Challenge, Aerodynamics and Rockets, Ceramics, Watercolor Painting (gr. 5-adult), SAT Prep and much more.
